I can say that: In the worst case the motherboard can be damaged. Any other tech support posts will be removed at moderator discretion. Cannot say anything good either. So i received an email from asus telling me there will be no direct support of these new fx chips from asus by bios update.

I only have a video card, so fps isn’t my number one concern for the cpu. Your memories seem 880v do T at x2Mhz recommended factory settings, http: With 1,5V they are rock solid! Shitposts, memes, and plain box pictures are not allowed as linkposts you can still include extdeme3 within normal posts or comments. Maybe slope in raising voltage too. Only bios update needed. Sometimes, if I put eg. It doesnt work on all AM3 boards just on some of the newer ones with chipsets that have bios support on it also be sure to flash the new bios before sticking new cpu in.
Right now I am at and still asrockk for better ones. It is not about the price, it is about the possibility. If the post lacks a summary comment, it will be removed.
Running AM3+ FX on old AM3 board : Amd
Last edited by arroyo; at Have an g extreme3, went from athlon x2 to amd fx With a sticker on, like roflwaffles. But you have the same mobo as me so yes works!! Any asrpck monitoring software cannot read this voltage because this voltage doesn’t exist. Davey, can you share your memory settings, that you are using to achieve such clocks from your signature?
Last edited by oneb1t; at My CPU is never under 1. Be civil and obey reddiquette. Right now I am running FX at that same mobo undervolted and slightly overclocked 1.
I can live with decreased performance as long as it doesn’t cause any damage. Ehh guys big update, I just installed it into my pc and let it ran on stock usage and downclocked it from 4ghz to 3.
I’m using a K currently, but I mainly only bought it to review some motherboard. I also own an G extreme3 and thinking of flashing it in GX.
ASRock G Extreme3 (AMD G) Motherboard
Turn the goddamn cores down to 4’s. My CPU is never under 1. I hope they made something better than 2.
Right now I have rock stable 3,7 GHz which was impossible on 2. Is it possible piledrkver us to get the full gx?
In the worst case the motherboard can be damaged. Its running pretty good except the occasional hardlock. I didn’t tested 2. FX is supported on these models: Combined with an SSD, I’m very happy with the responsiveness, even under load. So Overclocking capabilities are worse. Strawpolls are not allowed.
